OVERVIEW

Minimalist design and nature take centre stage at Casa no Tempo, a rustic four room retreat in Portugal’s lesser trodden Alentejo region, known for its unique and peaceful golden landscapes. A simple, elegant palette of white linens, natural textiles and clay tiled floors was selected to perfectly complement the farm’s raw natural surroundings. Guests can reconnect with nature by exploring the property’s 900 acres via horseback riding, fishing and star watching or by lounging at the 4,000-square-foot swimming pool designed to reflect the landscape’s natural streams and ponds.

WHY WE LOVE IT

Casa no Tempo is meant to be rented exclusively and while it does not function as a hotel (there is no restaurant, for example), a stay at the property gives you access to the farm’s harvest of honey, goat cheese, eggs, olive oil, jams, and vegetables, with daily breakfast delivered to the kitchen.

Casa no Tempo is an hour east of Lisbon, in Portugal’s unexplored Alentejo region and a short drive from the charming historic towns of Montemor-o-Novo, Arraiolos and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Évora.
