Nature meets minimalist design at Casas na Areia, a stunning seaside retreat made up of four beach houses in Portugal’s dreamy Comporta region. The hotel is quite literally the definition of barefoot luxury; its main house eschews traditional floors in favor of white sand—a design decision driven by an ethos that encourages guests to connect with their natural surroundings and integrates the landscape into the architectural vision. The homes can be rented individually or opened up and used together to host larger groups. Breakfast and daily cleaning are included in all stays.
